Some of you may have noticed I'm not present in this space very often anymore. On the whole, I haven't been writing as much as I used to. At least not here.
As I have seen happen with many bloggers I know, my child has reached an age where she is not as comfortable with me writing about her online. Sometimes she is, but often she would prefer I don't. I respect that.
And quite frankly, I am growing less and less comfortable being called names no matter what I write or say. The lack of civil discourse online makes me not want to participate by sharing my voice. Which is sad. But that's how I feel right now.
You can still find me over at Mom.me each month. Sometimes I share personal stories. Often I write about parenting in a more general sense. Issues that matter to me where I feel I have an interesting or unique perspective to offer.
But while my writing has been slowly down, my photography has thrived. My children and family portraiture is local, so I don't usually share it here. But recently I have been receiving more and more requests for prints of my nature photography.
I love to get out with my camera and take photos of nature. The fact people want to display my work in their homes thrills me. It's such a honor to have someone say, "I really love that image. How can I get a print of it?" And since I was getting asked that question repeatedly, I needed to come up with a way to deliver.
My solution was The Nature Collection - a compilation of my most popular images of nature, along with a few of my personal favorites.
Prints are available in a variety of sizes and formats. Metal prints are my favorite by far, and what I purchase for display in my own home. They are waterproof, UV resistant, and made from 100% recyclable aluminum. The prints are lightweight and arrive ready to hang on the wall. The color is vibrant and beautiful!
To celebrate my new collection, I'm giving away a 16" x 24" metal print - from one of the nation's top professional labs - of the image of your choice from The Nature Collection:
