Around the world in a day, or two

This trip to Disney, we visited Epcot for the first time as a family. I love Epcot, but wasn't sure if SB was old enough to truly enjoy it. The draw for her was the chance to meet Anna and Elsa from the new Disney movie Frozen.

She had been anticipating the movie for months. We saw it right before we left on our trip. And it delivered. Absolutely fantastic flick. We all loved it.

And so, on our first day at Epcot, this mom got in line at 11:15AM so her daughter could meet Anna and Elsa sometime after 1:00PM. That is love, my friends. The plan was for hubby and SB to look around while I held our place in line.

But SB was so antsy about seeing them, she decided she'd rather wait in line with me. Fortunately, we were able to get in much earlier than expected. Hubby captured the moment she got her first glimpse of the Norwegian sisters:

And then the big meeting...

The ladies were in character and were an absolute riot. They were the most fun of any of the princesses we have seen in person. And SB couldn't wait to go back to school to tell her friends she met them.

There were plenty of other Disney characters at Epcot (but I'm sure you can only stand to look at so many photos...).  And then there was these two...

It was the first year SB has not been afraid to go up to see Santa. She was excited. And absolutely thrilled to meet Mrs. Claus. I was happy we were able to take care of this encounter so we wouldn't have to worry about where/when to see the Big Guy when we got home. Thanks, Disney!

SB had little to no interest in the Future World section of Epcot. But she loved going around to all the different countries. So much so we did it two days in a row. They had a fun activity for kids at each country. And some lovely libations for mom & dad...

That's yours truly enjoying a frozen beer in Japan. Because it was very warm and I needed to cool off. Come back Monday for more of our adventures around the world...
