This does not make me happy.
I don't mind having some wrinkles. To me, that comes with the territory. What really bothers me is the sagging skin. OK, the sagging everything all over my body. But my number one concern has been my neck.
I didn't gain that much weight when I was pregnant. But I did become very swollen all over. I blew up like a balloon toward the end. Especially around my face. Look at this photo right before SB was delivered:
OMG, what is up with my neck? Ugh! I lost the pregnancy weight quickly. I even got rid of some additional pounds I had put on before I became pregnant. But my neck never recovered. The skin had stretched and didn't go back into place. It hung down and shook when I moved and gathered in strange and unfortunate ways.
I was left with the dreaded "turkey neck."
I've tried a lot of different skin care products through the years. With varying levels of success. But as I continue to age, I find it more and more difficult to get real results.
I know better than to believe the outrageous claims many skincare providers make. There is no miracle in a bottle. No one-size-fits-all or one-product-fixes-all solution. But when I do research and find a solid, rational reason to try something new, I will.
That was the case with Dermagist. I read a number of independent, non-sponsored reviews and was impressed enough I decided I wanted to try the Neck Restoration Cream.
I received a sample of the product from Dermagist in exchange for a review. The company also sent me a bottle of its Dynamic Age Defying Serum. I have used the latter on my entire face and the former on my jawline and neck for the past month.
Both products are light, absorb easily into the skin and smell fresh. They are very easy to use. Best of all, I have seen improvement.
Overall, my skin feels invigorated. And it has a radiance I have not seen in a long time. My deepest neck and chin wrinkles have noticeably improved. And I can tell the skin under my chin and on my neck is beginning to firm up and lift. Slowly but surely I see a positive difference.
I did not think to take before and after photos. I've been under too much stress to be able to think that through. So I'm afraid you'll have to take my word for it. You can check out the most recent photo taken of me, though it is not close up.
You might even notice the glow to my skin I have been seeing in the mirror. And no, it is not from the wine I am drinking in the photo.
In the event you care to compare that photo to the one in the right column of this blog, I'll just go ahead and confess it was Photoshopped by a friend. I asked her not to go overboard and make me look fake, but to soften my wrinkles. And, you'll notice I cropped my neck out of the photo.
She made me look the way I wished I could. But if I were to have a head shot taken today, I'm not sure I would feel I needed Photoshopping.
Considering all I have been through this year, I find it quite amazing my skin has improved so much in spite of it all. I should look as awful as I feel right now. But I don't. And to me that speaks volumes. Stress can wreak havoc on your health and your skin.
I'm loving the reflection I see in the mirror right now. So I will continue to use Dermagist's Neck Restoration Cream. And I'm planning to try out some of the company's other products, starting with the Complete Rejuvenation System (which includes the Dynamic Age Defying Serum I have been using).
I have deep wrinkles on my forehead and my crow's feet are growing, so I'd love to see what Dermagist's products can do to those problem areas. Unlike with many other brands I've used, this time I have actually seen results I feel make the investment worthwhile.
And now I have the opportunity to offer the Dermagist products I tried to YOU! Enter below for a chance to win the Neck Restoration Cream and Dynamic Age Defying Serum:
